Dr Raj Persaud is a Consultant Psychiatrist and Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, who has worked as a Consultant and Honorary Senior Lecturer at the Institute of Psychiatry, The Bethlem Royal and Maudsley NHS Hospitals Trust, Queens Sq Hospital for Neurological Diseases, the Institute of Neurology and Johns Hopkins Medical School. He was voted one of the top ten psychiatrists in the UK in a poll of peers conducted by the Independent on Sunday Newspaper. He has numerous Academic awards and distinctions including the Royal College of Psychiatrist's Research Prize and Medal, The Moris Markowe Prize, The Osler Medal and the Maudsley Hospital's Denis Hill Prize.
